Volunteer Opportunities: Find Your Place in the Herd
At Celestial Equine Connections, every volunteer brings a unique set of skills and a different kind of heart to our mission. Whether you want to be in the middle of a lesson or helping us grow behind the scenes, your time is a gift that changes lives.
Explore the diverse roles below to see where you might best fit into our community. No prior horse experience is required for most positions; we provide all the training you need to feel safe, confident, and impactful.
.
Program Support: Horse Leaders
Our therapeutic riding lessons and youth programs are only possible with a dedicated support team. These roles are the most "hands-on" with our riders and horses.
Horse Leaders: For those with documented horse experience, leaders are responsible for guiding the horse’s movement, allowing the instructor and rider to focus entirely on the therapeutic work.
Barn & Equine Care
Help us maintain the "sanctuary" feel of our 19-acre facility. This is a great way to learn the fundamentals of horse care while providing a peaceful environment for the herd.
Daily Care: Assist with grooming, tacking up horses for lessons, and general stable management tasks like cleaning stalls or filling water buckets.
Facility Maintenance: Help with "paddock patrols,” and seasonal projects that keep our farm safe and beautiful for horses and visitors alike.
Outreach & Special Events
Help us take the magic of the horses out into the Cobb County community.
Senior Visits: Assist our team during mobile visits to nursing homes, facilitating safe and joyful interactions between residents and our gentle equine ambassadors.
Equine Experiences: Support our immersive sensory sessions by helping participants connect with the herd through paddock observation, quiet stall immersion, or mindful pasture walks.
Special Events: Support our "Book Club for Kids," community fundraisers, or "Open Barn" days by helping with hospitality, check-ins, or activity stations.
Behind-the-Scenes (Skills-Based)
Do you have a professional talent you’d like to share? These roles are vital for the growth and sustainability of our non-profit mission.
Photography & Videography: Capture the "magic moments" and success stories that help us share our impact with donors and the community.
Marketing & Social Media: Assist with managing our online presence, creating content, or engaging with our followers.
Grant Research & Admin: Help us identify new funding opportunities or assist with the administrative tasks that keep the office running smoothly.
Which Path is Right for You?
We invite you to think about what brings you joy—is it the physical activity of the barn, the quiet connection of grooming, or the strategy of community building?
